Brilliant idea! I'd have done that myself if my GS didn't come with the TT version already fitted.

a tidier way is to get 2 rubber wedge door stops and some of that "Tentacle Tape". It like double sided tape with all the little mushrooms on one side that lock together. One piece on telelever and one on back of door stop.Has a cycle life of around 50 times, so you can pull them off at any time, total cost of around $10 or whatever that equates to in pounds.:)

I used rubber door wedges as steering stops years ago and they still perform well. Total cost about a quid.

Why is this mod necessary ? I've done about 120,000 km's in the last 12 years and never needed it. Although all my driving is city based.

very nice will try both way

handy things with mx tyre is its free

but the door wedge is very tidy
