Having spent the morning installing a Bluetooth hands-free phone kit, I declare that there's no room left for anything else electrical!

The bike has:

  • ABS
  • An external thermometer
  • Autocom Pro-7
  • Kenwood TK-3101 hard wired
  • PTT
  • Bluetooth hands-free phone
  • MP3 player linked to Autocom
  • 2610 Sat Nav linked to Autocom
  • External aerial for 2610
  • Hard-wired heated jacket control
  • Wide-tail type rear lights
  • 'Wide-tail' type front lights
  • Pair of driving lamps
  • Autoswitch with relay
  • 2nd relay for driving lamps on when main-beam is on

There's no space left to fit anything else and is, definitively, fully loaded! Or is it?

What does your list look like?

we need pictures please!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's the rub!

Apart from the driving lights and the bits that go on the bars (2610 + MP3), there's nothing to see - it's all buried in the bike!

:hammer

I concur, but a couple of questions...what themometer have you fitted and where's the ptt switch mounted?

The thermometer was a £9.99 jobbie from Maplins:

I see from this link it's only £7.99 now!

The remote sensor is mounted on the underside of the beak right at the very front edge.

The thermometer itself is not waterproof and dies when it gets wet, but recovers every time it dries!

Here's a more general view of 'the office':

The PTT is mounted as suggested by Autocom under the l/h bar grip. Not ideal, but it does. In this photo you can also see the heated jacket control and the hands-free mobile phone control:

Thanks for the pics! What's that other (waterproof booted) switch, under the red 'un?

Nosey, me?!

Cheers

That's a 3-position switch that's part of the PTT.

  1. VOX operation
  2. PTT operation
  3. Permanently transmit (makes you very unpopular!!)
