I've fitted a new Hawker Battery to my 2002 GSA after the old battery died. I needed to adjust the battery leads fractionally but don't think that I moved any of the underlying wiring.

Bike now fires up first time but it sounds as if it's runing on one cylinder, the plugs a sooting up instantly etc. etc. Sounds like a bag of Nails

I've got to assume that I've knocked a sensor off or something, any suggestions what to check first?

:(

You've probably dislodged the throttle cable. Look at the cable where it connects to teh throttle bodies. It should look like this

and not like this

Thanks to Mike O for the piccies.

If that isnt teh cause, remove the fuse for teh motronic (#5 from memory). Wait afew minutes and then replace. Turn ignition on (but dont start it) fully open and close the throttle twice. This resets the TPS> Switch off and back on again, start, ride and report back Soldier.:D

Did you remember to reset the TPS by turning on the ignition and opening and closing the throttle a couple of times?

Thanks

Thanks to "Tiapan" for the advice in this forum!! I had move the tank to address a fuse issue on a starcom comms set I had fitted on the airbox and inadvertantly moved the throttle cable out of it's seat.

Scratched my head, took out plugs, examined all electrics that I may have disturbed and still running like a Russian trawler. Until I read this advice that is!! I worship the great "Tiapan", (whoever you are), I can now sleep at nights!!! You've got a pint from me when we meet!!
