CN V8 CD - where to buy?

The upgrade is a DVD, so it may be too much to sell down the line if that what you meant.

However, I would suspect that the easiest and cheapest way to obtain a full copy of CN v8 is to buy a StreetPilot III from GPS Warehouse for £149.99 which will either come with v8 or allow you to access the v8 upgrade.

You then register both units with Garmin and load the v8 into your preferred unit.

Final step is to load UK maps into the SPIII and sell it on Fleabay but without letting go of the unit's Garmin registration in your name.

I've had a look at two sites that I've used and neither gives the option of buying the CN EU version. You can buy US and Aus etc but not EU. IIRC I've seen that Garmin won't sell the CN on it's own in the area where it's applicable.

And if you try to buy it overseas eg Canada, they'll ask for a Canadian address to send it to :( Unless you could pick it up there, or have a "friend" who'd get it for you :mmmm Not that I'm sugessting that you should do it ;)

Hi Greg,
Not a bad idea, thanks.
If I buy the SP III, will I be able to load the CN 7 or 8 maps onto two units, the SPIII and my 276C ?
Is the CD or DVD not locked to the unit which it is sold with?

John,
So happens I have a sister in Calgary so I'm not ruling that out, but can't see the thing in stock in US stores either....

Garmin will allow you share CN between two (but only two) units registered in your name. One of them must be a unit that was supplied with Euro CN.

Greg,
Tks for advice, I have ordered a SPIII from GPSw, in'shallah it will be at home next week in time for trip to Spain. If not, I'll use the 276C with base map.

Anyone want to buy a 3+ with Touratech mount? Didn't think so.....
Another one into the antique's cupboard!

Thanks again
