as it says on the title, has anyone got front and rear pics of a 12 GS or GSA (pref GSA) with a set of Hepco and Becker Gobi plastic panniers fitted?

apparently i might be allowed a set of panniers soon, ali seems a bit OTT for just trekking about europe on roads:thumb

The Gobi's are incredibly strong thanks to their use of composite materials and twin skin construction.

The down side though is you lose out on carrying capacity with 37 litres per pannier and you can't use different sizes to allow for the offset in the mounting frame for the exhaust.

All Hepco and Becker panniers use the same mounting frames, I had a set of their Aluminium standard panniers fitted on my 1200GS and used a 38 litre on the left and a 45 litre on the right which equalised the width yet gave a total of 83 litres capacity.

If I'd gone with the Gobi's I would have had 74 litres capacity but a much wider profile.

The Gobi's do allow you to carry water in the gap between the twinwall construction using an optional tap but whether this is an advantage really comes down to the individual.
