These are the first castings, they need to be finished off.

The finished articles will be available in black, or bare Ali, so you could have nice shiney polished guards.

They fit 1100 and 1150 GS's , plus "R", RT and RS models. And hopefully will also have a 1200 version coming soon

Cost will be £120 a pair.

If you want a pair, a deposit will be required, and i'll be placing an order with the foundry very shortly when i have an approximate idea of the number required .

Neil

How/to what do they attach?

I notice you don't mention the 'S' ?
If they dont fit, no good to me, but if they do, you may put me down for a pair. Please Sir.
Is the 'black' paint, powder coat, or that special west london rag and bone black aluminium?

Don't want a pair, but look nice. Technical question for you, what grade of aluminium are they? I assume that you've discussed what their function is with your supplier & they suggested the correct grade.

Point I'm trying to make is how pliable are they? Although they're not going to move much in an off anyway are they.

The same question for me as yamonda1, Neil! I'd love a set (1150 GSA), but my finances (SWMBO) quite won't allow at the moment, however in a couple of months or so things should be better!

I haven't a clue - The makers know what they're to be used for, i gave them a set of "other" similier guards and left it to the experts.

Do you know which casting process they use to make them at all Neil?! Are they investment/lost wax process?

Sand cast for the first set in the pictures - Then if they're all ok, they'll make a mould so they can run them off in batches.

Pointless starting with a mould if there are faults, or they need minor adjustments .
