Had a mini event today with Shrek 2 (Rob), Wildbeeste (Paul), Steve and myself (Tim). We did sections of the
Old Coach Road (for maps see here ) plus other interesting byways.

One of the three times we got up to the top of the South Downs. (l to r) Paul, Steve and Rob.

It's round about now that most people would say a felled tree blocking the byway would be
enough, but Rob got through, so Tim had to follow...

With some persuasion we all got through (must add saw and trenching tool to packing list).

Paul then led us heading cross country, over a wooden footbridge and down more tracks, before ending up at the cute Rodean Cafe.

A great day out with good company.

It was a good day.
The photograph of the tree across the route was taken after three of us had gone through and it had been cleared a bit. Shrek 2 was impressive with his bald road tyres on the muddy bits. Tourances appear to work better without tread when off road.
Steve managed to take out a Fiesta wing mirror with his GSA when avoiding a kamikaze car on a single track road. :blckeye Really cool that he only mentioned it at the end of journey.
The sun shone, the sea and the sky were blue, the grass was green the company was good and we did not end up stuck in a ditch or the middle of a field. What more can you ask.?
