Someone posted an "Easter Egg" for the 12GS recently - a list of things to do in a particular order, buttons to push, keys to turn - that change the configuration of the bike. I forget which one it was and the search facility is not being helpful, but I will try and sift through to find it again.

The obvious and documented ones include:

How to turn-off the ABS,

How to set the hazards flashing without removing your hands from the bars (punch both indicators together)

- etc.

Assuming HMarc does not beat me to the punch, 8) I'd like to start to collect a list of these things, and post it on the web.

In the meantime: Does anyone know an incantation to set the display clock into 24hr mode? Or is that (to the best of our knowledge) a dealer tweak?

How to turn off the dipped headlight - or rather cause it not to turn on in the first place.

Turn on ignition

Hold down indicator cancel button for 5 seconds

Hold down right indicator button for 5 seconds

Start engine

Exciting huh? :D

24 hour clock is a 5 minute dealer tweak. Had mine done cuz I like the 24 hour clock.

Next time you turn the ignition on the lights will be there.

NOG changed my clock from 12 to 24hrs at the last service and didn't charge for the job .................. Top blokes :thumb

The clock change is a dealer issue for the CIP codes accessed via the service computer (GT1)- at the same time you can get the indicator self-cancel switched off, if you wish; if you have the tyre monitoring system, you can change from BAR to PSI, & you can "metricate" the fuel & distances on the Bike Computer info system. :thumb
