I had previously made a version of the BarButtons Bluetooth remote control for MRA on a tablet/phone but wasn't happy about the size of the unit and reach to the buttons.
I then found a very similar unit called MotoButtons that replaces 5 of the buttons with a cheap miniture joystick. This dramatically reduces the size of the unit and allows for an alternative mounting solution the puts all the buttons within thumb reach - and it works perfectly.
It can be made for less than £25 plus the 3D printed case and only requires you to be able to solder and follow very detailed instructions to programme a microcontroller.
