quick fix for tubed puncture

Whats the easiest way to fix a puncture in a tubed tyre to get you home or to a garage without resorting to get the tyre off?

Or, remove the nail (or whatever) and put some "Punctureseal" in.

Its a permanent fixture in my bike tyres - even when I had tubes.

On my old triumph many moons ago, I had a flat, so I got the tyre half off the rim and stuffed my old jeans t shirts socks and anything else I had in my bag on the back in the tyre and carried on.

My mum went mad when she found out about it. All my clothes were fecked, but I got to the pub alright

Still use a stuff called OKO and have done for 30 plus years...
Works with tubed and tubeless...

I have been lugging a bottle of "Slime " sealant and their air pump for years - anyonne knows if it works on tubed tires, and if it has a shelf life ?
