Today I’ve sorted out getting a key so I can get the steering lock off and while I was tinkering I thought I’d see if it would go through the gears. So the good news is it has all 5 and even better was in fifth with a couple of strong tugs on the rear wheel the engine would go round so no ceased barrels. Tomorrow I might try drop a borescope down a cylinder and take a peek.
Amazed how good everything is once you wash off the years of shite. This may be a lot easier fix than I first thought.
