Moroccan roads in january

As a goup of GS riders we are going to follow a few stages of the Dakaar rally in January. Having looked at the roads we intent to follow on google earth and clicked on some of the pictures attatched some roads have snow. The roads we would like to do are MoulayAliCherif(Er Rachidia) to Ouarzazate and then on to Marrakech. Does anyone know what these roads are like in january?

Don't panic mate ,never seen the dakar go through snow in the desert. But just in case i will pack my heated socks

I got stuck in the desert on a sunday , got out on the monday. Then stuck in snow on the tuesday on the way to marrakesh from Ouarzazate. Early january 2006.
