7 Day trip

I am starting to plan next years trip.Done South of France,Pyrenees,Spain etc,I was thinking of French Alps,i am limited to 7 days due to work commitments.All the trips i have taken so far have been by ferry,this time i was thinking of using the tunnel.Does anybody have any accomodation suggestions in the alps allowing me to explore the area,maybe crossing into Italy or Switzerland.

what time of nyear are you going? passes usually open mid to late june on
7 days is just about long enough to be doable, and see some of the best roads
john hermans book motorcycle journeys in the alps is a good start point...
we are off in july hopefully for 2 weeks, partly based in Annecy (hotel faisan d'or good value and just in from lake)

col de telegraph, madelaine...you really have to work very hard to go wrong!!

lots of hotels, b&bs etc should be no problem to find good places to stay and we have found the hotels very helpful proving lock ups for the bikes
