I know you all don't wander over to the States on two wheels, but if you ever do and find yourself in the Rocky Mountains, the lonely and deeply scenic Snowy Range is worthy of your time. Here's a map of the journey/location...

So, here's a few images and a vid of this secluded, no traffic, sweeping, ascending/descending ride

At an overlook I noticed this marker stone...

Wow. Well, I had to find out the details. The tale is told well here... http://www.dailyyonder.com/how-it-ended-medicine-bow-peak/2009/03/25/2020

Medicine Bow Peak is to the left here. The riding through this landscape is special...

Stunning photos. What camera were you using & are they straight off it, or 'enhanced' thru some software? Either way, cracking :thumb2

You are very lucky, and I hate you:D

Now to be sure, I've been to London several times for work, and almost hired a VFR for a tour north, but alas, haven't made it happen yet. But, perhaps it's just the change or diversity that is ride "appealing". I would have a memory-filled, amazing ride to Wales, then Scotland, etc.

Jon... I captured HDR (High Dynamic Range) images. This is where you take three bracketed photos (keeping the hand very steady or using a tripod!) at different exposure levels. Supposedly this technique, where the three images are merged via software, provides the best rendition of what the eye sees, versus the shadowy blobs a camera often shows in darker or shaded areas. The final output is up to you. In the above images I probably stirred in a tad too much contrast. In this one, I should have noticed the slight "glow" around the bike. But I'm experimenting with HDR. And besides, there should be a glow around the great RT!

Another place added to my 'To do' list.

Even when I do win the lottery I ain't gonna have time to do them all.

Stunning photos. Thanx for posting.
