I wonder if the relay can be swapped out for one that does self cancel...

If you figure it out, you could make a mint 
Sadly, it works ( from what I've read ) on time and distance, so I guess its pulling in data from a variety of sources. The S-10 is bullet proof rock solid machine, however, they did no "nice" features on it, such as a proper screen, gear indication, s-c indicators, easy-to-reach buttons to scroll thru the onscreen display etc. Just a bit more engineering on this side of things and the S-10 would have easily been a beater against the GS/A. ...IMO, of course ( having owned GS & GSA for past 10 years )
