French Alps & Route de Grande Alps - Accommodation

Hi All
We are planning our trip to the above this year.
Any advice for good places to stay? Hotels (reasonably priced), guest houses etc.
Our total trip is normally about 11 or 12 days and we tend to like pitching up in one place for a while, unloading the bikes and exploring an area properly.
Your comments and suggestions will be appreciated.

RDGA - did it in 2011, stayed at -

Thonon les Bain - Hotel L'Arc en Ciel , start of the route

Bourg St Maurice - Hotel Arolla

Guillestre - hotel Le Catinat Fleuri

Sospel - Hotel Des Etranger

All basic but good, and reasonably priced
