If you ride at night and you have an OEM light guard fitted try taking it off, it destroys the power, spread and adds reflection.

If you ride at night and you have an OEM light guard fitted try taking it off, it destroys the power, spread and adds reflection.
Sounds much better to leave it on to keep the power and spread and not have a reflection.

The guard reduces the light, and buggers up the spread, and the reflection back into the screen is a a big negative.
Is it easy to remove?
And why is it there in the first place, I was thinking it may be so you don't dazzle oncoming drivers and cause them to wipe you out in a head on collision.

The Touratech thing for BMW does the same job but has glare shield. Clean & polish the plastic with Xeropol helps and horizontal polarising film might help.

Not on necessary Bitumen, avoiding the wild life can be interesting at times, not all commuting is on the black
