2610 sent back

As i said in a previous post the 2610 decided to go tits up as soon as we went to leave Dunkerque.
Sent it back yesterday phoned them today to see if they had received it .
The nice young lady said they had & enquired what the problem was.
After explaining the touch screen wouldn't work at all also it wouldnt show where I was .
She said did I try doing a major system something or other not sure what .When I said I didn't know you could do this she said no you wouldnt unless I contacted them .

Any idea what she was on about

I've carried out a similar procedure on an unwell SP3 and it worked as advertised. On that you also had to remove the map card and it also deletes your waypoints and routes.
