I suspect not! I ripped the pic off a Japanese site a couple of years ago. Scurrell asked me to post it again.

If it does 'pop out', can you 'pop in' a spare easily enough, or is it a big job? Not the kind of thing I'd want happening in the middle of nowhere.....

not the sort of thing that you want to have happen anywhere. I think that the process goes like this:
- Oil sight glass pops out
- Oil pops out too!
- Hot oil all over left boot
- Oil all on road in front of rear tyre
- Rear tyre pops out of alignment with front tyre
- Bike pops over sideways
- Rider follows
- Pop back sight glass
- Pour in more Q8

Sounds about right, except you missed the part about the engine siezing up....
