Polish Road Sign

I've now been riding around Poland for a few days and have noted that one sign provides a good warning and should be taken seriously.

The roads over here have deep grooves in them from the trucks, along with miles of patches. They are sometimes hard to see, if you're not prepared and go around a corner and hit a rut you will get the scare of your life.

Ukraine next week, somehow I don't think that the raods will improve.

Worn out Polish roads and pot holes. A bit like the UK then !!!

There is a bit of the A9 just north of Helmsdale which is so worn smooth that cars have been crashing all winter even at slow speed. The road is a twisty hilly section which was red shell gripped years ago. Council have posted a 20 mph limit and slippery road signs but are refusing to resurface the offending 1/4 mile stretch as work is (allegedly) due to commence later this year on a new section of road. There are other parts of the A9 into Caithness where heavy lorry traffic has rendered the 3ft closest to the verge a lumpy roller coaster which is dangerous on a bike.
