Just ordered an electronic chain oiler from a company in Belgium called Pro-Oiler for Ms cheek's 650.
Having had the 1200 with shaft drive for just over a year and a half I'd forgotten how important chain lubrication is but it was brought home to me when I found 3 tight spots on the bikes existing chain and noticed that the rear sprocket reuired replacing.
I'd used Scottoiler on previous bikes but was never happy with the delivery system as it did not take into account air temperature, speed or distance travelled and had looked for an alternative for previous bikes and fitted one of these kits nd found it kept the chain in perfect condition without needing adjustment until about 10,000 miles.
If anyone's interested Im happy to take some pictures of the install on the 650.
