Unplanned Alps sept 09

Friday 11/09/09 cont

as i head towards Liechtenstein i come into a tiny little hamlet called Maienfeld
a stunning place and home of Heidi :angel
http://uk.wrs.yahoo.com/_ylt=A1f4cf...53217899/**http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heidi
i have been through before but never believed i would find it again.
as you approach l/stien and leave swiss you come across a walled barracks
and then an open space which would of been heavily fortified during ww2 as hidden in the high rock are gun placements.

and a pleasure cruiser tied up.
then it's time to head home and the darkness approaches so does the UK :tears.
seven days and not one drop of rain :bow:bow.

A few thank you's
Firstly my beautiful assistant [ picture one ] :D :D
Thank you to Whatton [kevin] -
As i read his trip report and remember his stating about using the smallest roads in France.
I have always used / viewed France as a pain or route to get to somewhere else, but in fact it's a beautiful country and as you travel through it has many things to see along the way.
Thank you Steptoe [Niel]-
at Baskerville i noticed he had an i pod on his bike and read somewhere his stating that sometimes the right tune came on at the right time.[ i scoffed at the time] but i now travel with my i pod always and sometimes a certain tune plays and away i go :D:D [nuts i may be but harmless]:p
I know i have said before but for someone like me to ride a bike is an achievement and hard on my busted body and i amazed myself at where i got and get too.
Thanks for reading my report.
I really did have a blast. :kissy2
