Kawasaki Gearbox problem

Can anybody help with this problem.

I have a ZX6RR track race bike but have a problem with the 2nd and 3rd gear selection, is this a major repair in the engine will need stripping to get to the gearbox, or can the gearbox be accessed without having to strip the engine?.

ANY SENSIBLE REPLIES?.

bent selector = strip engine

Some have a cassette type gearbox, which you can remove with the engine in situ. Still a big job though.
