Bike let me down twice last Monday, virtual Boxing Day like a summer day.
Just would not start unless tit around with side stand switch
Has the steel stand mount, switch not broken due mount bending.
I have removed switch and wd40 everywhere but not dismantled switch and all works ok but don't trust it
What do you think I'll buy another switch anyhow
Cheers
Mike

You just need to get in the habit of always checking the stand is up, if you've previously had the switch to forcibly remind you.
I thought there was some exaggeration about how you'd fall with it down, but MAN....
It only needs you to forget ONCE to get a big scare....:-0

I've bypassed mine after it misbehaved, and it's been OK without it.
But I made the habit of always flicking back with my foot as I move off...

It IS handy thought to be able to start it briefly on the side-stand.

The side stand switch was one of the first things removed from mine. Unnecessary junk to me. Brown to white.
