As some of you may have seen from an earlier thread the LHS fork stanchion on my XChallenge had been badly damaged and I ended up changing the forks for a second hand set
After stripping down the forks all of the sliders etc were in good condition and it was just the stanchion that was damaged
Looking on line the later model 08 XCountry uses the same part number for the stanchion but it is silver instead of gold coloured
I picked up a full set of forks in good working order and good cosmetic condition off eBay and stripped them
Using the original XChallenge internals and sliders , the 08 XCountry stanchions and new oil and dust seals , I've now got a nice set of spare forks ;-)
