sena battery life

I have 2 SENA SRL2 comm systems on my Shoei helmets (mine and my wife's), but mine is about 5 years old while my wife's is about 3. I started to get my SRL2 to suddenly just go off. No warning and nothing. Just turns itself off and becomes unresponsive until I plug it back into the charging...
