I have 2 SENA SRL2 comm systems on my Shoei helmets (mine and my wife's), but mine is about 5 years old while my wife's is about 3.
I started to get my SRL2 to suddenly just go off. No warning and nothing. Just turns itself off and becomes unresponsive until I plug it back into the charging cable and let it be for a few hours since it won't respond right away. When I turn it back on after it has fully recharged it starts behaving normally but for an unknown amount of time. Sometimes it is what feels like 10 minutes and sometimes a couple of hours.
I did a "Fault Reset" and reinstalled the latest firmware update. I am waiting for its behavior to change but in the meantime, I was curious about how long their batteries last as I suspect that will be the issue, that the battery's life has come to an end,

Does anyone know what is the lifespan of the SENA SRL2 battery and if they can be replaced?

In my opinion it’ll be the battery. 5years is a long time for a lithium ion battery. Normally they’ll last about 300 to 500 charge cycles but will be down to 70% capacity or something by then - both charge and oomph. So every other day for 3 years ish. By 5 years bound to be gone and incapable of providing either run time or full oomph when you need it.

My wife’s SRL2 headset began erratic behaviour and generally shorter time switched on. I bought a replacement battery on Amazon or eBay but replacement isn’t that easy and I think I damaged either the battery or the device as it never worked again. It’s with my electronics engineer of a son awaiting his opinion, which I think might be you’ve knackered it dad.
