£1000 for a gearbox seal?? Eeek!

Re Jumpjims comment; I checked with the dealer (Southport Superbikes) and the price is £587 for the three seals and a clutch all in inc VAT.

When they say a "clutch" do they mean just the friction plate or complete clutch unit.

Seeing as complete clutch unit is a few hundred pounds that's a good price
Just a clutch friction plate is £60.............

Just the friction plate. There's been no sign of slipping so it's probably not contaminated - getting it replaced whilst it's apart (32000 miles).
