Probably because if folk buy them and don't like them then if they go back to the dealer they will be offered a bit less:nenau

Personally if i was paying that kind of money it would have to be from a dealer

As autumn is upon us dealer part ex prices will drop as they reduce stock over winter, which will have a knock on effect on private prices.

Makes me wonder why anyone would ever buy a brand new bike from a dealer unless it was discounted to the bone....

Someone took a huge hit on this.....hope it was one of the new generation wankers with more money than sense rather than a genuine GSer who had plunged in early :blast

To be. Fair the second bike didn't sell because it didn't reach its reserve

The big BUT..........................£10250 was all a free market bidding was willing offer:blast

Kinda worrying for a new model:eek

Reaching the reserve, has nothing to do with it:blast..............buyers have only bid up to £10500 on the last 2 12GSWC to appear in an auction for 500 mile bikes

I think he is trading his in.

All this concern from non LC owner about second hand values:rolleyes:. I had a mate at work he used to change his bikes every 3/4 months, nothing to do how good or bad the bike was . He just could...

I'd have serious doubts about buying such a bike. Couldn't be that its a crock of shit and the new owner as had enough of its shitness could it ?

Not at all:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Free debate and all that:D

Just find it a tad surprising that a £14k OTR 'bike of the year', is now struggling to achieve £10k in a fee bid auction, especially when some late model 12GS TwinCams and certainly Adv's are fetching the same and more than £10k

Perhaps without the availability of finance (ie via a dealer) to sweeten the deal, they are being 'bid low'

Surely any dealer (non BMW) could get it and make a turn on it

Is there something we don't know....................yet:nenau
