It is exhaust wrap
It is a good staff keeps the heat a way from the near by cables etc.
You don't need to have it if you don't want it or need it for but I just fitted myself and I like it .

So it takes a bit off time and money to creat something good and beautiful .
You don't need to have much imagination just a bit a inspiration and expression by creating something beautiful and extremely individual with what you can get your hands on , pretty sure if you have the money to spend off course .
I love my bike and is my only hobby , , I think that is the most lovely GS/A that I came across but that is my opinion and I want to stay that way .

I'll tell you why - you don't have the roads, like we do in the Yorkshire Dales where I live, to ride a bike in.................and that's just the tarmac, without the miles of green lanes

You can keep London, I'll stick to God's own country - Yorkshire

Now if you want to do some real adventuring..........................(instead of riding a (pseudo) Adv style bike, around the tarmac streets of Europe)

Then here's a bike that has done it all and has nothing to prove (currently in the USA and ridden up from Mexico, the week before - after flying in to ride it home)

Please note carefully..................

The OEM BMW Plastic Airhead panniers (no fecking heavy alloy panniers here)

The 1970's remnant fibreglass Kangol style topbox (no heavy alloy topbox needed)

The Tesco's 'bag for life' on back seat, held on by a £3 cargo net, they would never even make it into a TT fecking catalogue

Everything else is generally exactly what the bike came with in 1991 from BMW (the owner doesn't need to discuss endlessly whether she should fit a Mudsling or not)

This bike has been around the world, many times and has no unecessary shite bolted to it

And the last pic......................shows the lovely lady owner, enjoying the 'bridges of Madison County' this week

Sometimes, we should just a get a fecking grip and just ride the bikes and use them for the purpose intended, without weighing them down without all manner of unnecessary and complete shite

But that is not a good answer
I didn't asked you to show me your bike or to let me know about your trip to US etc .

I am just a motorbike enthusiast just like you that works hard to fulfil my dream and my ambition .
It is a good idea to shear and ask opinion not to be to critical .
I have only asked what can I get for £200 for my bike , that's all !
