£22K for a full spec non adventure model

My Basic 1250GS+ heated grips+cruise after discount came in at £12750 in SEP 2019. The new one has keyless added but nothing else? That’s a 20%+ jump in price. Good thing I got my RS several months ago. Like for like would be £18000 +.
Interesting. My TE was new Sept 20, includes the keyless & SOS and less discount I paid £15k. Thought I’d got a decent deal…

I think the Mandello is really nice and the owners I’ve spoken to love them, but the local dealer gives me no confidence at all. Basically told me he wouldn’t give me a deal on the GS against a new Guzzi :(

I like the new bike, i like the more closed in look, will be easier to keep clean.
new tech is never a bad thing especially the safety stuff.
Bit sad that there is no mention of Android auto or Apple carplay onto the TFT dash, we still have to buy a separate Sat Nav.

Not happy that i will have to sell all my luggage as it wont fit.

To be fair changing the luggage, Denali lights with Cansmart, Barkbusters and a few other mods is what's stopped me switching to the Africa Twin Sport for a change.
now i will have to do it anyway to stay with BMW
I will keep my current bike a while and decide then

Oh dear , looks like a Honda . Will test ride one but is not very good looking compared to the original and the current bikes out there and even makes a Guzzi look nice , just bland , and those colours , yuck .
The back end is Tuppaware , and why so small one of the main reasons I came back to the Gs from the Multi V4s

No pics of the GSA yet ?

Don’t think it’s launched till next year

Presume that's the 1400 then ? Can't say I've looked until the new models appeared on here.

I got it to 20,250, including heated seats and fogs lights, which compares to the 19,100 list price of the TB on launch. But who would pay that sort of money and then not go for all those nice to haves, so really it's going to be more like 23-4k, even before luggage.

Think the green will split opinion just in the way the bumblebee did.
On the bike config I did on the 22, same as mine, TB with the same features & auxulliary lights but the 719 mirrors and heated seats were missing
On the new one £20160, inc heated seats and spots
on the 1300GS
Same spec but with the adaptive height control £20650
I don't want any other bits on and would hopefully be able to do some sort of a deal on the side panniers or go 3rd party but that would be after a test ride
Local dealer says they are getting one of each version in 1st probably towards the end of October
Wait til it all settles

Well it’ll be called a 1400 even though it’s exactly 1300 .
Bit like the GS being called a GelandeStrasse even though it’s really just Strasse

As has been said, there is no 1400 planned. The upcoming GSA will be the same 1300 engine. Admittedly, there's the whole F900GS/F800GS thing, but I think naming a bike as a higher cc than it is, rather than lower than it is (F800) would be a piss-take. Mind you, BMW lost it with the naming of their cars - we had the x.30is delimiting the model type for the 3 litre engine, and then they changed that to .30i for a 2 litre sports and introduced .40i for the new 3 litres!

Not daft are they ;), gearbox under the engine , you'll need a sump guard, thats an option kit , sports suspension, (more travel) another kit , centre stand = another kit

so something you would expect as standard , your forking out another 7K !

15K is the total options bill, coupled with the price of the bike !!!!
.....and making the centre stand an extra means they can claim a lower weight for the bike ;)

Wonder what the true weight is with all the "essential" extras added?

That was a good discount on a bike that was listed under £18k, but was the outgoing version. You also have to factor in inflation. It's quite frightening, but 15k in 2022 would be 18,118 in August 23, and 18k would be 21,742.79.

CS is an extra on the Trophy, not the TB. Makes sense for a version targeted at off-road.

I get it for a loaf of bred but wont they be protected from most of the impact of uk inflation with bike parts from around the world and bikes being built overseas. Exchange rate would impact though.

Wasn’t it Hans Christian Andersen who wrote “ The King is in the Altogether, the Altogether, the Altogether…….”

Not selling my 1250 anytime soon, I can’t afford that 9 bhp increase (nor do I need it).

Waiting for the MCN “Best Bike Ever (just like the last one)” accolades.
