£22K for a full spec non adventure model

...and yet magically BMW are quoting exactly the same weight for both :augie

Well, as standard the Trophy also has the heavier, spoke wheels (though the TB does also have the elec windscreen)

That was a good discount on a bike that was listed under £18k, but was the outgoing version. You also have to factor in inflation. It's quite frightening, but 15k in 2022 would be 18,118 in August 23, and 18k would be 21,742.79.

Well that makes sense, calculator said £15,532.16

Here you go. I had meant to say 'in 2020', which was the year in question.

I'm wondering just how revolutionary this new engine really is. It's air/water cooled still. The gearbox is underneath the engine so I read. I'm wonder just how much further under the engine it is. It can't be that much further under than before as it would raise the height of the engine or reduce ground clearance.

Looking at the Q&A vid at around 8.45 min, they've kept the malfunction rear lights.

A Bike Thing will be absolutely made up.

With all that , I still see a small , compact Honda .. forgive me but just been back in the garage to look at what they got right . Phew , it’s a 1250 gs 👍

The one thing that I wanted to see was back lit switches
one day they might listen to the buyers and do something about it

A 2013 GS TE was £13815 list new, so that's nigh on a £10k increase in 10 years.

It took me a while to appreciate the looks of the current bike and it’s grown on me a lot and when I compare mine to the new ones I still prefer the look of mine.

I preferred how my 2016 Triumph Explorer looked compared to the current Tiger 1200. They’ve all gone down the sleek route and I don’t think it suits (most) adventure bikes. For me they are meant to be a bit chunky and utilitarian.

Inflation adjusted, that's 18,418.

Basic 1300 with touring, comfort and dynamic packages, which is more or less a TE, costs £18,790.

I just configured a trophy with no luggage, enduro and dynamic pack and off road tyres and it was over 20000k

£20 million is a bit steep .

I was going on a straight TE, not one with an optional paint scheme/textured parts and off-road capability/accessories.
