£26,240

But you can’t get there because you’ve run out of fuel and the cap won’t open...

But the next day ... hey presto..... fuel cap opens. Race to fill up and then fucking locked again.

Just hilarious!!

Fully kitted out : £ 26,240 Try getting an insurance quote for a giggle:D

Only two insurance companies would quote me. Well, in reality, only one insurance company would quote me. £ 1,200

MCE were just in it for the laugh at £ 8,300 :doris with a compulsory excess of £ 4,000 :D

No way would I buy that bike, with those insurance costs. :nenau

Thats nothing. For whoever opted to Brexit.... wait and see the 40k bike coming soon.

Why post brexit, most of it comes from China, they’ll just sail it right in here past Brussels. Bikes will be just what you’re prepared to pay, as always.

£1,200 - Compared to :-

My 2017 Africa Twin Insurance at £ 106 fully comp

My 2010 Bandit insurance at £ 96 fully comp

My 2017 R1200GSA TB Insurance at £ 231 fully comp

I don't think it's even close to being reasonable. :augie

Interestingly.... Let's just say you REALLY wanted that bike. And to stay legal.

You could have just Third Party only. So no theft cover or fire damage cover. Just to stay legal.

Then the Insurance Premiums are

- £373 : Principle Insurance
- £374 : Motorcycle Direct

So you 'could' get on the road at a reasonable insurance cost, but you'd better not leave that bike anywhere on it's own, buy a bigger duvet because you'll be sleeping with it :D

Really disappointed

Just back from a weekend to Strontian. Nothing rattled, nothing, leaked, my wheels didn't collapse and the filler cap worked. Really disappointed I've got nothing to complain about - just a bloody amazing bike.

That's a Friday build. They haven't had time to fit the faults onto it properly.

It'll have zero value at resale, half a job.

Try running the quotes.
Pretty sure they won't "allow" you to have a Third Party only policy with a bike in that value.

Makes no bloody sense, but I've been through it.

Yep...... and after paying £26,240 plus £4,000 aftermarket kit..... for a Beta Test bike, you'll have the pleasure of :-

- TFT Warning Messages : Engine Fault, return to dealer

- Spokes : Ting, Ting, Clunk : return to dealer

- Tinitus : 130db pitch throttle body whine : return to dealer

- Engine Replacement Tapety Death Rattle : return to dealer

- Leaky Brakes : Nuts whole Hayes are nuts.. Ooo. return to dealer.

- Rubber split : rusty shaft curse, return to dealer

:D

Only one out of six after 5.5k miles, so not doing badly so far :P

You obviously live in the wrong place... or they have checked out your falling off profile on these pages.

It's the value at £26,250 thats fucking up the quotes....

Go to a comparison website and try yourself, see what quotes you get.

With it's track record for failures... really, why would you?

Just remember back when the original LC was introduced, the amount of faults on it were just about as bad. What with frames with no steering stops and other serious faults like that. If i remember, one forum member had three new bikes in very short order because of the problems. Now look at them, everyone sings their praises. Im thinking a bad batch of cams are responsible for the engine failures, i know it shouldn't happen but when you build a bike down to price, shite happens. The other problems will iron themselves out in time. Its getting a bit boring now, with feckers who dont even own one, slagging off the bike, they should fuck off back to the orange play pen and and do whatever it is that amuses them :pissl and stay the fuck out of the real bike section.
