The 1200 twin cam is pretty well sorted now ...... I think?

Someone tell me a replacement seat is worth the money & will make the pain go away?

Bite the bullet, buy a sergent for £300, use it, enjoy your bike a lot more and sell it for £200plus when you sell the bike. A bargain.

Why spend 11k on a bike which is incredibly uncomfortable to ride for any distance - then let your enjoyment be spoilt for the want of a few hundred quid ?
I can understand the principle, at that price it should be comfortable - but its not.

Change the seat. You will find plenty who want to buy it off you later.

I got some used seats and paid Tonmy Archer £70 to comfy them up - in all about £150, so you could perhaps do both.

As for twin cams being sorted, it depends on what you call sorted as it seems fuel gauges go all the time, the FPC's are the same ones that have failed on every other 1200 model and a fair few 2010 onward bikes have already had FD issues.

But don't forget the warranty excess, I had a £98 oil leak (under excess) £78 heated grip failure (not covered by warranty) the FPC and fuel senders would also be under excess amount so it only really covers you for big stuff like the FD.

I think your probably better off just putting £300 in a bank account as I can't see the bike getting having that many big problems, I would say I wish I had done that, but I think it eased the sale of my bike with it having 7 months warranty when I sold it.

Put a wanted ad on here for a seat, I did and ended up with the Corbin that I wanted at less than half the new price, give it a go cost you nothing for an ad.

Well I conacted the Nipster today & he hasn't got any!

A couple floating around on ebay that might be worth a punt?
Or put an order in with Nippy & wait for it to arrive whenever?

Either way it has to be done as my cocyx area get's so numb I struggle to get off the bike. I don't remember it being quite so bad with my old 1200 ... a couple of years older I guess?

Apparrently, the new Honda Crosstourer comes with a 3 year warranty?
No pressure BMW ..... but in your own time
