As the collective view seems to be that I have been a bit harsh, I would like to say that:
A) No real offence intended or taken, and
B) Everywhere started it.....

Anyhoo, all banter aside, the black screen is the standard one, painted inside with black plasticote spray can, mainly so's I can see the instruments properly in sunlight.

And cos it looks cool when I'm admiring my bike at the local McD's, hangin' with the power rangers....

well it is protection (something for the weekend sir)

speaking of weekends anyone heading for the ACE on Sunday...... we could swap scuff wound stories! my sat nav spat itself out and landed between my legs in the process scratched my tank fortunately just at low speed

I use GT85 sprayed on then left, rather than ACF. Seems to work well, and I commute 60 miles daily all year fwiw

Thats interesting I never thought of that obvious gain of the black screen!

I have the Desierto F screen/fairing on order so bring on the black

I keep meaning to go to Kidlington airport, er, sorry: Oxford London airport to see if it really is cheaper at an aerodrome...

A: to know about the Penis size means those photos must have got out onto the Internet
B: My bank account is fecked actually. I've been out of work since September and in a convoluted way that is why I have the adv-spec crash bars. They can be cleaned up and repaired really cheaply. I couldn't afford a new set of bars every time I had an off.
C: I do push the limits sometimes and ride when others don't. The last off holed my Klim jacket and that's tough as I cant afford to fix it but it was worth it for the good weekend I had with the Uralists.

No offense taken. It's all banter and if I give it I must be able to take it.

I have not heard if that one, will have to research it

Some one said that the ACF50 is best applied to a clean dry bike and then you miss a couple of washes for best effect........

I will try a tin I got from the London show!

Cheersw for the compliment first up, and secondly, I got the bashplate direct from Twalcom in Italy.

It's a lovely bit of kit and bolts straight on if you've got the GS800. Cant speak for the girly 650 version tho.....

Had to apply some leadership to get it fitted with the Adv Spec crash bars.

Not sure where you saw pics of the bike, but it mighjt be obvious from the pics....

I've had it powder-coated black recently, looks the nuts...
