Can these fix without the straps across the seat? Would be hopeless if you have a pillion?

No, you can't fit the panniers to the Wolfman Racks without using the straps across the seat. The straps across the seat support the weight of the bags, and the fixings to the racks provide the stability and ease of fitting without fiddling with a variety of straps.

The straps should have enough adjustment in them to move the buckle off the seat, but can easily be replaced with simple flat straps if you prefer. Eric at Wolfman prefers the buckles, which allow the bags to be removed individually, but personally I prefer the flat straps even if you have to remove the bags as a pair. Individual choice really.

Orange? Orange?! How very dare you, its a proper yellow colour I'll have you know, and thus faster than all the other colours.....

Hehe knowing the miles you do it will probobly be more of a nicotine yellow by now though, and also sounding like a bike that smokes 40 a day :)

purchased!

Well I rang and ordered a set and they arrived the following day. Brilliant service.:) they come with 8 cunning velcro D ring assemblies which wrapped around my existing givi pannier frames to give a fixing. I have fitted the bags onto the bike but have not been on the road with it yet but they appear secure. The Givi frames do the job and I am only using them as I already had them but you would get a better fit with the proper frames. The quality of the bags is at least the equal of the Ortlieb roll bag and sacks that I have. It takes a wee bit of time to get the straps etc adjusted to tighten everything to the bike but as I get more used to that should reduce. They will never be a quick as clip on and off as hard luggage but I do not see that as an issue. Once again thanks for the lead.

I have a set of these Wolfman bags that I'd be happy enough to sell. They are yellow and in need of a good clean, and a couple of the black plastic buckles that loop over the top have come off, but the side buckles are the ones that keep them closed and are more important. PM me if you're interested in saving yourself a £ or two. They will come with the velcro D-rings but you'll need to fit the wolfman pannier racks, SW motech racks (mine were on) or some other equivalent.

Basically they are the best luggage I've ever had (totally waterproof and crash proof) and if you look at the link on my signature, you can see them on the bike.

Very smart looking boxes. :thumb2

What sort of money do they cost complete with fixings ?

The boxes were £200 for the smaller one & £225 for the larger.

I put them on SW Motech frames.

They are nice boxes as you can use either as a top box, or flip the catch so the top quarter only opens, and they are a good pannier.

You've got a filthy rag covering your number plate, that might be illegal on the road. And if you need someone to widen the shed door now, I know a bloke.
