It's no more compulsory to take a so-called dual purpose bike off road than it is to take a sports bike to the track ..... otherwise BMW would have 'bothered' to put knobblies on it as standard

I take mine off road a lot but a motocross machine it surely isn't.

And just coz I do take it off road doesn't mean that those who don't are in some way 'wrong' or not having an 'adventure' (whatever the fcuk that is supposed to mean ... ) .

Ha! Fair point.

I guess what I was getting at is how it seems the new way of enjoying these bikes is to open a wallet and pepper it in farkles, then take pictures to show them off.

Maybe I'm missing the point.

They are really nice bars, got them on my F650SE, if you buy them from Adventure Bike Warehouse they'll fit them for free, if you fancy a ride to Manchester!
