Just recieved one of these from Winding Roads (ordered on Friday arrived on the Monday - great service).

IMHO it fits the bike nicely.

Wolfman Explorer Lite - I didn't put it in the text as it was in title.:blast

Which Wolfman bag is that? (Denali or Explorer Lite?)

To clarify - the Wolfman Denali is a variant of the full size Explorer, which was designed to fit the single cylinder F650GS.

The Explorer Lite is actually a nicer sized bag in my opinion, for both the 650 singles as well as the 650/800GS twins.

Wolfman Tank bag

I have the full size "Explorer" version I bought when I had the KLR. It is very good quality. Hopefully, i'll be able to fit it to the GS.

I have to admit though that I find that the tankbag gets in the way when riding off road. I can't seem to lean forward enought without hitting the bag with my knees or thighs.

I'm sure you'll love the Explorer lite.:thumb2

Quick feedback on the BMW Tank Bag. It's crap! Expensive crap at that.

More considered feedback when back from my trip.

Winding Roads are showing as out of stock on the Famsa bags. Are there any other UK retailers? Google is not proving helpful. :(

Winding Roads are the only importer of FAMSA bags in the UK. Like almost all Italian factories, FAMSA close for the entire month of August, which can cause problems with supplies.

Works out at about £30 more than Winding Roads charge, but the German importer has 3 left if you're in a rush.

Cheers.

No great rush, I suppose. I'll hang on and wait for Winding Roads to get more back in stock.

soft bag

I have been searching for a soft side bag for 800 however could not find any convenient one due to exhaust position. Vario cases are pretty expensive (total 950 Euro as including all brackets, monolock, bags and mounting) in Turkey. Furthermore it is not possible to find all options you mentioned here in Turkey which means vario cases are best option (except givi which I do not reaaly like) .

Finally please help if you could.

Thanks in advance

tailpacks

try looking at the oxford range of panniers the humpback panniers are made for sports bikes with high exhausts. i have a set in red if there any good to you. otherwise, try sw motechs bags connection range. here's a pic of one of there bags they have many like this.

ST bags on a GS?

Hi all,
might seem a strange question this but does anyone know if its possible to fit 800st/s panniers to the GS. Either straight on or with a bit of farkling, I can see the exhaust might be in the way. Any thoughts?

BMW "Sport soft bag" attaches to Vario plate?

I was just looking at the UK accessories catalog

http://www.infar.co.uk/tim/gs/F650-800GS_accessories2.pdf

And saw the "Sport soft bag" ...

Anybody know if that has a "hard" sub-plate for mounting to the Vario adapter plate or if it just gets tied on with bungies?

I'm getting really indecisive when it comes to luggage here... even my wife the consummate shopper is starting to say I'm making a big project out of this? :o

Thanks,
Jim
