Money sent..

On a side note, 6 weeks ago I was diagnosed with cancer of the bladder, then since this thread was started I've been told that it is also in my prostate, at present they don't know which started first. I was told in June by my doctor that I wasn't in the right age group for prostate cancer (46) so was treated for infection of the prostate (going to the loo lots). I'm having an op in Dec to remove both.

Chaps, if you have any symptoms, ie getting up in the night to go to the loo 2-3 times or just weeing lots or passing blood etc then insist on full checks. p.s. not looking to scaremonger or for sympathy, just trying to help anyone that may be putting things off, get it checked :thumb

Now back to he happy stuff, pics needed Tarka :D

Well, the deed is done. Tarka was true to his word and you will see him in glorious technicolor later.

A big thanks to Jim, Roy & the crew at SSB for their hospitality.

And Tarka, you are a (dayglo) star!

Thanks guys...I`m keen to see how much my Challenge raised for the charity.

Thanks to GlynnJ for braving the sideroads and the cold to come and take photos. :thumb2

Many, many thanks to all at Southport Superbikes for making it possible. :beerjug:

Photos and video clips are due later, courtesy of Sadjim.

Includes a bit of Dayglo clad Ural stunting. :D

And me riding a twincam 1200. :eek

so, did he like the 1200 after all

How could he not :thumb2

He'll never admit it though....................................

Tarka - If you post on this thread that the 1200 twin cam is the best bike you ever riden, bar none then I promise a nice big donation :beerjug:

:blast :D :augie

Well.....erm....I must actually admit......in the (altered) words of Katy Perry...

I rode a twincam and I kinda liked it ! :eek :eek

The twincam had what`s always been lacking in the 1200s before it...low down grunt.... and it felt how a GS should do...instead of the other 1200s with their 'nowt down below' Jappo style power delivery.
Clearly BMW were very clever by making the 1200 feel Jappo as it lured many a Nippon Plastic rider over to the 1200...and most of those folk knew nothing about how an earlier GS felt.

So...shock horror...I kinda liked it and may possibly go for a better test ride in the Spring.

But...sorry... it can`t be said that the1200 twin cam is the best bike I`ve ever riden, bar none:rob :D :D

Well done Tarka .... I just knew you'd do it so my money went in before the event :comfort

Even if you'd failed or chickened out (never an option I know) it was for a good cause anyway :thumb
:beerjug:

Donation sent. Looking forward to seeing the pics..
