F650gs (puma)
Am I right in saying that you have to turn the front wheel around due to the front brake disc being on the opposite side of the wheel ?....tosh
No it fits as it is F650gs twin to single are on the same side as each other
spacers, spindle, brake disk, bearings, ABS ring (the very same BMW part numbers for single and twin)
But BTB the 2013 F650GS twin has brake disc/rotor reversed to side it is now therefore having front and rear rotor on the same side
I've had the 800GS for a week, and covered 600 very happy miles. First service on Wednesday. I've read somewhere, that having a 21" front wheel, compromises road holding and cornering ability. I've had no "moments" when cornering, and nothing seems to touch down when cranked over. Looking over the bike yesterday, the back tyre doesn't have any "chicken strips" . Will the pegs touch down before the front lets go? Has anybody found out?
Can I just put my 10p worth in please....
Had all number of bikes on the road, superbikes, supermotos, sports tourers, tourers...
I purchased My 2012 Plate F800GS in May have done 9k in 5 months and can honestly say its been one of the most planted, best feedback and all out 'Fun' bikes I have ever owned. I do over 500 miles per week on here in rain, sun and whatever else the british weather throws at me!
I do fast road riding, touring and commuting on her. I have even attended a few trackdays on her at uk tracks.
only mod I did was for the track days which is fitting Mitchellin Annakee 3's.
Answer to your question Martin;1768075 I had more ''moments'' on my gsxr 1000 in 10 mins than I have in over 9k on the GS and on the trackdays I have nearly ground the pegs (and centre stand) to stubs with no lose of feel, control and poise. The physical geo of where the pegs are the limiting factor to lean angles not tyres/wheel diameter size.
What a absolutely Fantastic machine cannot rate it highly enough, why would anyone want to mess with perfection?
