C 4 and about 3 year old my Mrs went on the bike once and never again and mine has bee used about 6 times as I snapped my Achilles Heal 2 years ago so not been on the bike since then :-(

You sure they’re not the upgraded C4 Pro as the C4 was only sold from 2017 to 2019 ?

Ha — well spotted! You're probably bang on with the 2017–19 date. In my head they were "a couple of years old," but time has a funny way of sneaking past when you're not looking.

That said, they've genuinely lived a charmed life — barely used, kept indoors, and treated far better than most helmets ever get. So while the calendar might say 2017–19, they look and feel as-new. Think of them as vintage in age but fresh in condition — the low-mileage classics of the helmet world.
