Honest I did search, but if the answer exists I cannot find it here.

I have just ordered an aux socket from Motor Works. I want to fit it to beak of 03 1150. The guy on the phone seemed to know what he was about and said I only needed the socket not a kit as there is a connector already in place under the beak and in the wiring loom. All I have to do is find it, free it and run it into place.

Is this right and any ideas where to look - under the tank maybe?

Thanks for any advice. Norman

I would suggest that the bloke is talking bollox to be honest. As far as I know, and its what I had to do on my 2003 GS, was to buy the small loom kit from BMW.

You then disconnect the plug from the rear of the socket down by your left foot. Then simply connect the new lead and run the cable up to the desired location. You then reconnect the old wiring plug onto the back of the new piggyback connector on the new loom.

Did that make sense:confused:
