My 1190 is on road tyres, and will be utterly useless. It'll bimble along the Pilgrims way in the summer but needs TKC's on if we're doing anything remotely serious ... :thumb2

Treat yourself to a 2nd set of wheels shod with a pair of knobblies.....;)

I've looked on eBay ... It's only a two year old model so not much out there at the moment (and they'll be hideously expensive) but yes, that is the answer ...

Right.....

Got the wheel bearings in and just needed to wait for the RHS spacer, which seemed to have been left out when the wheel went back in last time??? - Waited for the local guys to get the part for over a week before getting the hump, finding the bit in P&H in Crawley and Pan Europeaning it up to collect yesterday (105miles round trip) Whilst there, I also picked up 4 Ltrs of Motorex and a new filter. Got the wheel in yesterday afternoon, all seems fine.

Rain this morning led me to thinking that I'd get the oil change done today.

Warm up engine, drop oil from engine, remove fairing, then tank (bit of a pain this but I got there!) Up until now everything was going quite well.

Take the drain plug out of the tank. 13mm ring (can't get a socket on there) slides straight off. The plug has been butchered by some club fisted twat and is REALLY in there. I managed to get an 'easy out' on to what remained of the plug and with a rubber mallet and a great deal of patience (not to mention language that would not be tolerated on the Foc'sle of a Whaler) out it came. Trouble is, there's no way it's going back in, so onto the local guys, hoping that they'll have one. Nope.

Managed to find one at...... P&H - They're going to post it out..

Anyway, during the fettling, I discovered that the SAS valves have been removed and that I that I have an Oberon clutch cylinder.

Bike in bits for another few days..

There is a small tray screen on the right hand side of the engine ,at least there is on my 950sm, did you change/check it when you did your oil change. ? As well as the more obvious left hand side tube one. plus the filter.

Thanks for the input.

Yes, I pulled both the screens out and gave them a clean and fitted a new OEM filter - Can't put any oil in until the bloody drain plug turns up though!
