R1150rt 2004 - rotten old muffler change - as its integrated into the cat, that had to go also - so no cat anymore, so all a bit lighter, but still a fat old machine. Bought a dominator muffler https://dominator.pl/en_GB/p/R1150RT-Exhaust-Silencer-ROUND/536

I had to clip off the oxygen sensor on the rotten old exhaust as it was welded to it with rust. I'll get a new sensor in good time, but after taking it out for a spin I get lots of farty popping when decelerating. Feels also a bit more sluggish in accelerating.

Does the removed cat & sensor have any bearing on this? Aside from the fact that I might have done a crappy job on replacing the exhaust? I used the exhaust putty and cant feel any air escaping from the joins...

help!

My '98 R1100GS has no cat and a Remus can... pops and bangs a bit on the overrun. I'm happy with the fit of the exhaust, so I think it could be a case of 'they all do that sir':thumb2
