At the risk of appearing like a complete ignoramus.....again!, and incurring the wrath of long standing members, i've got a question on GSa screens.

Mine has developed some small cracks round the fixing screws, is there any way of stopping these getting any worse? The largest of them is about 3/4 of an inch.

I have tried google etc. etc.(Toad!) and am struggling to find a price for a new OEM screen, anyone got an idea of an up to date price for one of these??

Check the Nippy Norman site. I think they do a nice tinted screen :thumb

Try ringing the parts department at North Oxford Garage`s, they are really helpful and will give you a price for an OEM one.

I have cracks on my screen but then again, it`s spent a lot of time upside down:blast

to stop the cracks getting worse your only option is to stop drill them - find the end of the crack and then drill a small hole at the end of it. its the only wa you will stop it from cracking further

Hi Si, what are you using to clean the screen? I believe that some of the cleaners available on the market can weaken the screen around the mount points - :(

Once I have used Wurth helmet and visor cleaner (pesky squished bugs!)

Most of the time, just warm soapy water

Virtually all the screens I have seen have small star cracks - seems inevitable with the flex and hot/cold cycles. Obviously over tightening can contribute. Have never seen any that get out of hand and spread more than a cm or so.
