Here's the 'before & after' Dyno read-out for my '07 GSA. It's just been fitted with a full Akropovic 'shotgun' stainless/titanium exhaust, PowerCommander III & K&N air filter.

The maximum power is up 10 bhp (to 105.29 bhp), but with bigger gains lower in the rev range. Much smoother to ride, and more responsive at small throttle openings - sounds good too!! :bounce1

The work was done by Tim Blakemore in Bristol:

Nice. Is the PC map custom?

Yes, Tim set it up on his Dyno with a custom map to suit the exhaust & K&N filter - I am out for a ride later today, & hope to see a slight improvement in mpg - if I can stay off the throttle & the addictive exhaust note!!

screw the mpg!!!

That's a nice improvement on low-down torque, I'm sure you'll notice that.

Out of interest, how much did it all set you back?? :D

Akrapovic : £1219-99

Power Commander III : £400-00, including dyno time for custom map set up.

K&N filter : £45-50

Labour £94-00

All that incl. 17.5% VAT

:comfort

one thousand seven hundred pounds:eek:

10bhp:nenau:nenau

why???????????

makes feck all difference

money better spent on other things i think.

it may well be BETTER on mpg in normal use

Indeed! Was out yesterday for a 100-mile blat with a couple of mates, stuck to the 30's & 50's, but gave it some on the open A-roads. Computer says 48.7 mpg, which is a couple better than I would have expected on a similar run, prior to the mod's being done :)

Looks the same sort of job Tim did for me on my 58 plate GSA although i spent a lot less! pc from the usa £170 +£150 custom map decat front pipes myself £00.00 standard air filter (K&N not worth the extra) used bos end can £120 (ebay)
Still a fair bit but same improvements!
