My H&B panniers are a bit OTT for commuting, but I didn't like the vario topbox, so sold it.

Had the GSA rack and alloy topbox on both my 2006 and 2008 and it fits no problem, yours will be the same.

Worth posting a want add for the racks they appear now and then on the site as do the top boxes.

Pre-owned racks in the region of £100, top box, rack and locks £250 to £300 as a guide

Thanks again, Thunder - I think I'll pursue this, it could be a good (if not cheap!) option for me instead of the panniers... which are great for practicality, but just tooo wide for every-day use.

Haha.. well spotted, Paul! Liked the test rides, but not enough to spend mountains of cash. Yet.

I'm 'considering my options', as they say.

The ones fitted on the first bike the 06 are stock BMW seats fitted with new foam, gel pads and covers by Melvyn Hunter while the 08 is currently sporting Sargent seats.

I sold the first seats to Oonyack when I thought I was changing the bike to an 800, when I turned out I wasn't he wouldn't sell them back as he liked them so much onyack
