08 Brake Lights

I wonder if anyone can offer any suggestions to a problem on a 08 GSA?

I've been out riding with a mate, I have a 07 GSA but I noticed that his brake lights stayed on constantly.
He has just had the battery replaced under warranty.

Is there anything he can do? or is it another visit to the dealer?

Check the right side hand guard has not rotated so it is fouling the brake lever - should be checked before each ride

The 08 hand guards allegedly don't rotate so easy, might be worth while also checking the rear brake switch for jammed debris ...

I had this on my 05 1200GS... turned out it was the switch on right of handlebar. Replaced under warranty, and all is now fine again

I have been told by my dealer that there is a “recall” on the LED backlight on some off the early GS 08 model due to, possible constant brake light.

Mine is working fine (for now) but they will replace it anyway.
