I fitted my Autocom at the back of my tank (on the handbook bracket), Garmin Quest and Ipod on Ram mount behind screen, and took the wires along the off-side (lefthand) side of the GSA, just as i had on my "old" 54 plate GS. The route follows the brake line and frame rails under the tank.

On my GS there was no interference, but on the GSA the Garmin Quest connection is really noisey. The Ipod wires follow the same route, but are not affected.

Are the wires running to close to the bikes alternator?

If you have a similar set up, what route do your wires take?

On any of the 1200GS's we fit we run any cables like GPS and PTT's over the top of the tank under the plastic covers, this lifts the leads away from any engine sources that will pick up interference. As we do not mount the comms on the manual bracket the isolation block adaptors are also further back away from the engine kept in the plastic tool tray with the comms main bodies.
