I am now the prowd owner of a Garmin Quest and of an Autocom (Active 7 Smart) system.
I would like to wire them both to my bike.
I’ve got a RAM mount for the Quest. For those not familiar with it, it means I take the unit with me by undoing the ‘arm’ of the mount and leaving just the base on the bike.
I would therefore like some kind of waterproof plug that would make easy plugging and unplugging the unit.
It would be good to have a similar system for the Autocom, so that I can take it with me when not needed (my bike is on street almost 24/7).
The obvious choice would be using 12v cigarette-lighter-like plugs. The problem is that having two of them near the front would look quite bulky and untidy.
I was wondering if any of you lot out there have ever tried a different solution and with what results….
